Homes that don’t just reflect who you are, they inspire a better version.
At Envision, we live and breathe good design. For us, there is nothing better than designing the perfect home for our clients’ individual style and functional needs. It’s the thoughtful details. The unique storage solutions. The custom architectural features. All pulled together and enhanced by our talented interior designers. But more than anything, it’s knowing we’ve given our clients a home that inspires them to live the life they’ve long envisioned.
Good design reflects who you are; great design sees who you want to be and inspires you. To connect more with your family. To take up that hobby. To cook healthier meals. To host more gatherings. Great design goes beyond function and aesthetics—it improves your life.
Taking everything we learn about our clients during a thorough consultation, we work diligently to design homes that support who they are and the future they desire. It’s all about balance. Balancing now and tomorrow, style and function, and logistics with dreams. Finding that balance is what we do best.
Our Process
Designing homes that inspire the best version of you.
Defining the vision
We define the vision for your project through collaborative design meetings. Your needs and preferences regarding site planning, layout, architectural form, and more are discussed. We also begin outlining your interior design portfolio alongside design concepts.
Through phase one, we will conceptualize your project and offer innovative solutions derived from our 25+ years of experience in the industry. Our typical process begins with:
Budget considerations
Building code & bylaw analysis
Preliminary design drawings
Solidifying the concept
We take your approved preliminary designs and prepare them for permit application. Many of the decisions made in phase one are now solidified, and we are beginning to prepare for construction.
In phase two, working drawings are produced, and coordination with subconsultants and your general contractor picks up.
Prepare drawings for permit application
Subconsultant & finishing coordination
Liaison with governing authorities & general contractor
Execute and support
Once construction begins on your project, we support you and your general contractor throughout the build. Now that your vision is fully defined, we help you navigate the micro-decisions that come with construction and finishing.
In phase 3, lines on paper become reality. While other designers may step back at this phase, we aim to track the progress of the build with your vision as the criteria.
Liaison with governing authorities & general contractor
Site visits & progress tracking
Consulting support for specifications, details & finishing
ENVISION YOUR HOME. ENVISION YOUR LIFE.
Designing beautiful, functional homes for better living.
Architecture and design are lifelong passions for each member of the Envision team. Taking a client’s vision, lifestyle needs, and style to design a home that is uniquely suited to them is what we live for. With decades of experience, our team works together to bring expertise, creativity, and insight to every project.
Building design has been a passion for Ernest from a young age. The past 25 years have seen him designing several different design disciplines, from commercial and high-end custom homes to equestrian properties and riding facilities.
Ernest has studied at UFV, BCIT and AIBC Architectural Syllabus in BC, Canada.
My love for design started in childhood, and I’m incredibly lucky to live out that passion daily. In my role, I bring a specialized eye to our projects, taking our clients’ unique visions and transforming them from concepts into reality on the page.
In 2015, I decided to turn my lifelong fascination into a reality, enrolling in UFV’s Intro to Architectural Design program. That leap of faith paid off—the following spring, I joined Envision Design Works and began my career. Today, I’m part of a talented design team utilizing cutting-edge software to craft custom residential properties and outstanding equestrian facilities for some of the best clients.
I am passionate about context in design, understanding that the form of a structure needs to go hand-in-hand with its function.
Working with Envision has combined my interests for media, marketing, creative expression, and business. My goal is to create exceptional, functional designs for each of our clients, valuing each vision uniquely.
With 20 years of experience, I bring a unique perspective to the team at Envision Design Works.
My background in architectural design from UFV, combined with a lifelong passion for aesthetic form, drives my belief that every home should be as unique as the family living in it. I specialize in bespoke, people-oriented spaces where lifestyle dictates the design. I love that I get to build amazing relationships with families trusting us to design such a large part of their lives.
My lifelong passion for design and craftsmanship has driven my fascination with how architecture and landscapes shape our experiences. My passion lies in shaping home layouts that truly elevate the daily lives of the families who inhabit them.
This interest led me to graduate from UFV’s architectural drafting program, further deepening my commitment to design. Now, as part of the Envision team, I am privileged to collaborate with mentors and clients to bring their unique architectural visions to life.
I am deeply passionate about helping people and I thrive on facilitating collaboration in our team. My goal is to ensure our office runs smoothly by ensuring our clients feel heard and valued through attentive communication, while cultivating an inclusive, vibrant culture.
To me, a successful workplace isn’t just organized; it’s a community where every team member feels welcome and supported. As an administrator, I bring a unique blend of strategic oversight and genuine care to our daily operations. With a BA in Organizational Management and a certificate in Human Resource Management, I manage everything from invoicing to our essential HR functions.
I am an interior designer with six years of hands-on experience, backed by formal training at BCIT. My approach blends creativity with practical design solutions, allowing me to craft spaces that feel both elevated and livable.
Growing up in the equestrian community shaped my appreciation for natural materials, durability, and timeless aesthetics, which continue to influence my work today. I value thoughtful details, strong functionality, and designs that reflect the people who live in them. With each project, I aim to create environments that feel authentic, refined, and deeply connected to their surroundings and purpose.
